Infrastructure Technical Architect

TA required, an experienced infrastructure manager/engineer with excellent knowledge of Windows server OS's, Microsoft Exchange, virtualisation technologies, server applications and server hardware. Someone who is looking to step into or continue working in architecture design within a secure, high assurance context.

As the Technical Architect, you will have strong On-premise infrastructure design. You will produce documentation for CLD & HLD work.

This is an excellent MSP client who work on exciting defence, government projects. You will be involved in designing infrastructure using some/all the following technologies:

  • VMware ESXi/vSphere/vCenter/vCloud
  • General Networks (switching, Routing & Firewalls)
  • IDAM/RBAC/ABAC/MFA
  • Windows Technologies (SharePoint, Exchange, Skype)
  • SIEM, AntiVirus, Health Monitoring
  • PKI/HSM
  • Data Diodes
  • Cross Domain Gateways
  • Knowledge of Secure by Design and Zero Trust Principles would be beneficial

This is a small talented team so would suit someone who is an excellent communicator with all levels of the business and external clients. The role requires someone who is proactive, who is self-motivated who likes a challenge.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Designing medium to large-scale architecture solutions.
  • Leading the technical design of systems and services, communicating design decisions + resolving complex technical design challenges.
  • Ensuring that designs adhere to good data practices, compliance, regulatory standards, security frameworks and best practices relevant to highly secure systems.
  • Identifying and capturing non-functional requirements and ensuring that these are reviewed and addressed within technical designs.
  • Helping to Shape and evolve our technical standards and principles relating to cloud, web and applications, through knowledge of emerging trends, collaboration and consultation with partners and internal technical teams.
  • Background of using TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Working with project managers and engineers to ensure a smooth transition from design to delivery.
