This is an exciting newly created opportunity by our client.
Although they offer Events and Special Interest Tours to their markets, they have not established this department fully as a separate segment of their existing business module.
We are recruiting an experienced Events and Special Interest Manager to come onboard to developing existing as well as seeking new relationships to increase company market share of this lucrative segment of the travel industry.
You will monitor each request and proposal to ensure it is in line with sales and client requirements.
Ensure prompt delivery of all offers by monitoring and coordinating internal resources and participate in sales calls as well as attend surveys and coordination of events.
You will create with your team, a dedicated service to offer within this segment, pull together all the services they already offer and present to the sales team in order for them to sell and promote to their agents.
Comfortable in creating marketing documents, visuals to post on social media.
You will not be booking or negotiating as they have teams in place to support you with this.
Experience Required :
- Previous experience in winning and delivering MICE programs in Europe
- Proven background in creating, proposing and operating MICE and SIT packages
- A strong team leader with proven record of developing, growing, nurturing and mentoring a team
- MUST be flexible to travel when required for any VIP or Training Sales teams.
- Able to work on own initiative and/or with others on projects
- Experience of creating and delivering high quality events documentation
- Able to flex between being in the detail and driving the strategic direction
- Some marketing knowledge is preferable especially in the use of social media and other marketing tools
