  • Job Title: Digital Media Manager
  • Level & Responsibility: This role is a Manager level position, including line management responsibilities over a junior team.
  • Salary Band: £50,000+ (depending on experience), plus our 10% discretionary bonus.
  • Location & Hybrid Working: London, flexible working pattern with the majority of the team coming to the office 1/2 days per week.

The role
The role involves collaborating with the Media Operations Director and Media Strategy Director to foster innovation across technology, partners, tools, and SMG-owned media products. Responsibilities include leading new product project implementations, enhancing retail media partnerships, and coordinating with planning and insight teams on audience selection and measurement. Additionally, the role entails leading a team of digital media trading specialists, overseeing paid media optimisation across various platforms, and managing commercial tracking and reporting for the team's activities.

Why you?

  • Experience of media buying (Display and social essential).
  • Essential platform experience: The Trade Desk, Meta
  • Experience running lower funnel ROI campaigns essential (CPA, ROAS, ROI).
  • Coaching and development of a high-performing team.
  • A proven track record in delivering business growth in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, able to work seamlessly with data & financial reporting.
  • Practical, analytical and visionary expertise - with the ability to think big picture but dive into detail when required.
  • The ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders (internal and external) to deliver breakthrough results.
  • Technically savvy and problem solver; Able to problem solve and ideate around technical challenges in the Adtech space.
  • Experience in a growing FMCG, retail, or media environment (preferable).

What you'll be doing

We pride ourselves on creating challenging and exciting opportunities, meaning that no two days are the same. However, here's an idea of what your responsibilities will look like:

  • Oversee and lead the successful delivery of your team pods media buying across all channels and platforms.
  • Ensure best-in-class campaign delivery, with minimal delivery issues.
  • Help to grow existing, and build new relationships with media owners, and ad tech providers.
  • Success is measured through media targets agreed on an annual basis and reviewed every 6 months
  • Team performance against their work plans and team targets

The process

  1. We will invite you to a first interview which we try to keep relatively informal, so it allows you to share your authentic self. The hiring team will be looking to understand more about your experience and why you're interested in working with us.
  2. There will be a second interview which will last a little longer, and involve some form of task to showcase your ability to do the role.
  3. We then invite you to a meet & greet which is an opportunity for you to meet the team you'll be joining and ask them questions about the role and wider business.
