Team Leader - HR Service Centre

Locations: This is a hydrid position (2 days per week on site) and can be based on-site in Peterborough, Sunderland, Tunbridge Wells, Haywards Heath or Chesterfield in our MSG office.

At Markerstudy Group, our HR Service Centre is the backbone of our HR operations, providing essential support to HR Business Partners, Managers, and employees across our network.

Your Role

As the Team Leader, you'll report to the HR Operations Manager and manage a team of HR Assistants based in various offices. Your mission is to ensure seamless HR operations, compliance with processes, and effectively manage HR projects

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of a team of HR Assistants
  • You'll be leading, motivating, and developing a team to perform and achieve target performance.
  • Workload and resource prioritisation and planning
  • Ensuring compliance with process and agreed SLAs
  • Supporting the HR Operations Manager with overall team management and strategy
  • Driving and implementing change including process improvements and automation
  • Supporting the ER and HR Business Partner community with tasks being routed to the HR Service Centre
  • Monitoring and managing HR processing with the payroll team
  • Working closely with other Team Leaders to balance the workload effectively
  • Leading the team with project based tasks
  • Review HR process guides and ensure they are regularly updated
  • Undertake regular performance reviews with team members against key targets and objectives in order to identify business and personal developmental needs
  • Adhere to FCA and Data Protection Regulations

Experience:

  • Strong demonstrable people management skills
  • Well organised with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience of working in a high pressure fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritise workflow volumes
  • HR project experience
  • Good computer skills to include Microsoft Office
  • A good understanding of HR processes and procedures would be advantageous
  • Ability to present projects and information clearly and concisely
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of managing when things are changed or required at short notice
  • Ability to coach & communicate across the department and business
