About the opportunity:

We are working as an internal recruitment partner with a major manufacturer and global provider of bespoke products in the energy sector.

We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing facility in Hertfordshire.

The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will play a vital role in the smooth running of the plant through the implementation of an effective planned and reactive maintenance program.

Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplined Maintenance team, you will support in the installation of new equipment, perform preventative maintenance tasks, and provide an efficient response to machinery breakdowns to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.

If you have previous experience in a similar role within a production environment and can demonstrate effective problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet in high pressured situations, then we want to hear from you!

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a production environment, specifically in the automotive, food processing, or pharmaceutical industries would be advantageous.
  • General mechanical fitting, light fabrication/welding, and machine shop skills.
  • Recognised qualification in a Mechanical craft field.
  • Participation in an Industrial Training Scheme (Apprenticeship or similar).
  • A natural problem solver.
  • Adopt a highly driven, hardworking, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to work.
  • Innovative with a keen interest in continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplined team.
  • Flexibility in responding to out of hours callouts as required to support with production issues.
