This is a role that offers the flexibility to work over 4 days if that's what floats your boat or 5 days if that suits best. As their Financial Accountant Extraordinaire, you'll be the financial superhero keeping their books in check and their reports on point.
Your mission? Dive into the world of numbers, keep everything balanced, and help them make sense of the money matters. You'll be the go-to guru for monthly management reports, audits, and all things finance-related. If you thrive off a bit of detective work with reconciliations, and don't mind delving into a world of spreadsheets, this is the role for you!
Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of preparing their monthly management accounts from start to finish, adding your magic touch.
- Work your magic with prepayments, accruals, reconciliations, and the behind-the-scenes analysis that makes everything add up.
- Ensure sales and purchase invoices are processed quicker than you can say "Balance Sheet!"
- Lead the charge on VAT returns and be our liaison with HMRC for all things tax-related.
- Forecast and manage cash flow across different currencies like a seasoned pro (USD/GBP)
- Keep their AR and AP ledgers in tip-top shape, along with credit control duties.
- Bank & Audit Liaison - Be the friendly face and point of contact for banks and auditors, ensuring everything is shipshape
What's needed?
- Experience in an SME environment where you've worn multiple hats.
- Whether you're QBE (qualified by experience) or fully certified, we're keen to hear from you.
- System Savvy - You've dabbled with accounting systems (bonus points if you know your way around Business Central).
- Excel Enthusiast - You're reporting and Excel skills will be top-tier.
