What ASEND Tuition Is

We are looking for wonderful tutors to support children and young people with SEND in Buckinghamshire. We support pupils with SEND who may not be attending school for a number of reasons including Mental Health issues, or lack of a suitable school place. We aim to prepare them for a return to mainstream or special school.

We support pupils of all ages face-to-face within school times, and in a range of settings including homes, schools, community centres and out in the community. Our work is completely pupil-focused and can target developing early learning, following an academic curriculum, providing emotional support or developing life skills. We need a wide range of people to support our pupils to meet their specific needs and ensure good progress. We work very hard to match each person with pupils and roles who can most benefit from their skills and expertise.

If you think this is not the right role for you, do still apply as we are always on the lookout for people with different skills to work with our pupils.

About The Pupil and role

Our pupil is a 13 year old girl with Autism and ADHD. She has some difficulties with communication, but this does not hold her back from enjoying her hobbies. She is a bubbly and smiley young person who has a love for music. She is an excellent dancer and loves to get creative with arts and crafts. Our pupil is eager to learn and develop her communication skills.

She has recently been working on numeracy and literacy. She is learning about addition and subtraction and building on the number of words she uses when she speaks. Social stories have been touched on but are an area to be explored more. An ideal tutor for this pupil would be someone who can help improve her social and communication skills. Someone who is able to incorporate her interests into her learning and make it more engaging is essential. A tutor who can deliver core lessons on English, Maths and Science at Key Stage 3 level will be crucial.
