Quality, Technical & Compliance Officer

Laindon - Essex

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • To carry out quality assurance auditing, calibration, verification etc. and related quality assurance tasks on a routine basis.
  • Develop and maintain QC systems and records.
  • Monitor compliance of QMS procedures and instigate immediate corrective action.
  • To analyse, identify and resolve quality issues through the non-compliance process.
  • Undertake internal audits in accordance with the internal audit plan and quality assurance work schedule.
  • Raise non-conformances for any components/products that do not meet specifications in accordance with procedures, log and action non-conformances with suppliers as issues arise.
  • Assist with the resolution of quality-related issues, and identify permanent solutions.
  • Maintain & create Technical data sheets and check supplier specification conformance
  • Support the management team in investigating & responding to customer complaints.
  • Attend any training or meetings in line with the job role.
  • Liaise with Directors, management, suppliers and customers via telephone and email relating to quality and technical as required.
  • Liaising with production & warehouse team regarding AQL Management.
  • To develop good working relationships with all departments.
  • Any other tasks as required by the Directors or management team.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have previous experience in quality control department/testing
  • Must have previous experience with ISO 9001
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in Lighting or electrical
  • The ideal candidate will have experience of ISO 14001
  • Lead and develop a pro-active, engaging, problem-solving attitude in the workplace.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent computer and numeracy skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational skills and commitment to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to form and maintain relationships.
  • Able to work collaboratively with people across various departments.
  • Good time management skills
