GSL Education London is seeking a Maths and English SEN Tutor for a client school located in Barking and Dagenham. This role offers a competitive salary of £25 per hour, with a September start date. The ideal candidate should possess qualifications such as QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent from the UK, along with a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent from the UK
  • Strong knowledge and experience in teaching Maths and English, particularly in a SEN context
  • Understanding and commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of SEN students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialised support in Maths and English to SEN students.
  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Monitor progress and assess learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with SENCO and teaching staff to implement educational strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress reports.
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies rigorously.

  • An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through us
  • Two professional child related references
  • An updated CV
