Role Overview:
As an IT Network Engineer, you will ensure efficient and user-friendly IT network support. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and maintaining the school's network services, active directory, Microsoft 365 admin, and internet connectivity.
- Providing second- and third-line support.
- Responding to operational emergencies and business continuity issues.
- Enhancing network efficiency, effectiveness, and resilience.
- Ensuring network security and compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Liaising with internal customers and external suppliers.
- Managing and replacing core and edge switches, configuring ports and VLANs.
- Troubleshooting network issues and maintaining network infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with network switch management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, reliable demeanour.
- Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships.
