Compliance Team Administrator - UK Retail Team.

An exciting new opportunity to join our UK Retail team as our Compliance Administrator.

Role Overview :

We are looking to recruit a Compliance Administrator to provide support to the Retail Team. This is a varied role and would suit someone who is process driven and organised, self-motivated and who thrives on attention to detail. This role requires someone who can demonstrate reliability and is highly disciplined and willing to create relationships with the team of fee earners in order to become part of an experienced and friendly team.

Team Overview : Our retail team provides leasing, acquisition, consultancy and investment advice to retailers and property owners throughout the UK. Operating out of nine offices across the country we cover everything from shopping centres to high street retail and from supermarkets to retail parks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Completing due diligence checks for Savills clients and counterparties in accordance with HMRC and Savills UK procedures using compliance systems, logs and files including land registry searches, terms of business, conflict of interests check etc.
  • Ensuring client due diligence checks are conducted within the time frames in accordance with Savills UK procedures and compliance management
  • Providing advice and guidance to the AML processing team on complex and/or high risk AML case.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders (AML Analysts/Fee Earners/Admin Reps) and clients/solicitors to obtain information or clarify information already received.
  • Organising and attending regular meetings with the fee earners to discuss any standing queries with their instructions
  • Monitoring conflict check emails to the whole business.
  • Exercising confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • In addition to the tasks described above, the job holder may be required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

Key Skills :

The ideal candidate will have an interest in property and experience either within compliance or the property sector itself.

Technical experience :

  • 1 years' experience in AML/CDD/KYC (desired, not essential)
  • A working knowledge of HMRC's AML guidance (desired, not essential)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Skills and Knowledge :

  • Business acumen and professionalism is required due to the exposure to all levels of the business from graduates to Executive Directors.
