Salary Range dependent on candidate experience: £35,000 - 45,000
Piper Maddox are working with a rapidly growing developer of solar and battery storage technology to build out their team in 2024. With over 25 years of shared experience in the current team and a track record of fully completing over a gigawatt of renewables projects, you would be joining one of the best teams in the business!
Our client specializes in the development of utility scale renewable energy assets with their in house functions covering land, planning, development, project management, and engineering. Having these capabilities under one roof has created a really strong collaborative environment and a very strong culture of sharing expertise and advice.
With some of the current changes in the UK renewables market, stability in a role is important. With a project pipeline of close to 3GW, as well as a strong investment partnership - you can rest assured that you will see your projects through from inception all the way to fruition!
They are looking to bring in a GIS Specialist for their team. This position will in the main support the land/development team as well as providing assistance to the grid side of the team when needed. This is a crucial position for ensuring project viability and will have a hand in the overall project development lifecycle.
Your role would include:
> Visualizing spatial data from potential sites to identify constraints (SSSIs, water
courses, protected land) that would impact upon site viability.
> Perform site feasibility assessments using GIS - mapping out topography, land access etc.
> Use grid capacity data to outline target areas of land alongside the grid team.
> Land referencing and land registry data analysis.
> Upskilling members of the team on useful GIS functions that can be applied to project
lifecycles.
