Reed Food and FMCG have been briefed to recruit for a well-regarded and recognised Food Manufacturing business, for a Technical Manager, on a Permanent basis. This is an exciting and brand new opportunity being recruited to aid the business in their growth plans.

Technical Manager
Up to £45,000 per annum
Location: Norwich
Benefits: Private health, Pension contribution, standard working week (Mon-Fri)
Experience required:
- Experience in a Technical Manager / Quality Managers role within food or drinks manufacturing.
- Demonstrable training in HACCP at level 3 or higher and experience
- Experience of BRC or similar audits, as well as customer facing roles
- Strong knowledge of principles of quality assurance and control
- Ability to build strong relationships with operational teams
- Experience of managing a team of 6+ people
- Internal Auditor trained
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead customer complaint investigations, analysis and trending. Proactively ensuring that trends are escalated and that all appropriate actions are implemented
- Carry out routine factory standards audits and work with the operations team to improve the "Ready for Audit" standards across the site, promoting a culture of "audit ready every day"
- Working alongside the production teams, you will help ensure that all products as produced are to the right high-quality standards and that they meet & overall exceed all customer expectations
- Maintain the QMS systems across all the sites
- Reporting of site technical & quality KPI's as well as documentation of monthly reports
- Organising and conducting traceability and product recall/withdrawal testing
- Complete and update technical specifications as required
- Plan and take ownership of third-party and customer audits & visits where required
