About the School:

The school is a purpose-built facility designed to cater to students aged 3-19 with complex and multiple learning needs (CMLN). Our site features:

  • Specialist Classrooms: Equipped with full tracking systems and blackout blinds, allowing for the creation of multi-sensory environments.
  • Care Suites: Providing comprehensive care and support for students.
  • Rebound Room: A dedicated space for physical therapy and activities.
  • Hydrotherapy Pool: Facilitating aquatic therapy sessions.
  • On-Site Medical Support: School nurses and physiotherapists are based on-site to provide immediate care and support.
  • Personalized Learning Plans: Focused on communication and developing independence through Intensive Interaction practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with CMLN, ensuring their educational and personal development needs are met.
  • Assist in the implementation of personalized learning plans.
  • Support students during therapy sessions, including hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage in regular professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
