Description

  • The Controls and Instrumentation Engineer will support commissioning/validation of new process operations, support existing operational sites, technical troubleshooting of comms/SCADA/software issues, generation of plant documentation & risk assessments, optimisation of plant process parameters, deliver process improvement projects across the sites, training and competence assessment of site staff.
  • The role will over see seven sites within the Scotland region so this role will be 50% travel, 50% home based
  • Manage and monitor the manufacturing processes to ensure optimal performance
  • Process optimisation of plant parameters during verification and ongoing operations
  • Ensure safety standards are adhered to within all engineering operations
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement within the department
  • Manage project deadlines and budgets efficiently
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and advancements

Profile

A successful 'Controls & Instrumentation Engineer' should have:

  • Degree level qualification in engineering/controls & systems based discipline
  • Knowledge of current health and safety/environmental compliance
  • Experience in delivering process improvement projects
  • Competence in electrical engineering / instrumentation and systems software
  • Experience in plant operations
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
  • An ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
