Description
- The Controls and Instrumentation Engineer will support commissioning/validation of new process operations, support existing operational sites, technical troubleshooting of comms/SCADA/software issues, generation of plant documentation & risk assessments, optimisation of plant process parameters, deliver process improvement projects across the sites, training and competence assessment of site staff.
- The role will over see seven sites within the Scotland region so this role will be 50% travel, 50% home based
- Manage and monitor the manufacturing processes to ensure optimal performance
- Process optimisation of plant parameters during verification and ongoing operations
- Ensure safety standards are adhered to within all engineering operations
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement within the department
- Manage project deadlines and budgets efficiently
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and advancements
Profile
A successful 'Controls & Instrumentation Engineer' should have:
- Degree level qualification in engineering/controls & systems based discipline
- Knowledge of current health and safety/environmental compliance
- Experience in delivering process improvement projects
- Competence in electrical engineering / instrumentation and systems software
- Experience in plant operations
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
- An ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
