Position: Site Manager- Building Services
Location: Dorchester
Salary: £60,000+
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage construction projects within the commercial, domestic, and residential sectors from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are met within budget and schedule constraints.
- Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Manage and lead a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and site personnel, providing guidance, motivation, and support to optimize performance and productivity.
- Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to identify potential risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, budgets, and compliance records.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to enhance project outcomes and promote repeat business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency, productivity, and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial, domestic, or residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, LEED) are a plus.
