Join a leading legal firm as a Conveyancing Case Handler, where passion meets professionalism in the heart of Bedford. We are looking for an experienced individual with a minimum of 2 years in conveyancing to manage a diverse caseload of sale and purchase files. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in maintaining high levels of communication and wishes to contribute significantly to our team.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage the entire conveyancing process with a thorough understanding, from instruction to completion, including handling both freehold and leasehold enquiries, and exchanging contracts.
  • Run a purchase file from instruction to completion under supervision, ensuring all procedures are meticulously followed.
  • Analyse and report on search results, mortgage offers, and clients' source of funds in compliance with Anti Money Laundering Regulations and the UK Finance mortgage lenders' handbook.
  • Prepare client completion statements and set up account packs for completion.
  • Maintain orderly files, ensuring all checklists are up to date and regular update reports are issued to introducers.
  • Effectively manage workloads and maintain professional relationships, utilising a diary system for yourself and support staff.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for files, dealing with all contacts in a professional manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in a conveyancing role, managing your own caseload.
  • Legal qualification (e.g., CLC License, Law Degree, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and case management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with clients and partner agents.
