Accounts Semi-Senior
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary: £26,000 to £33,000 plus excellent benefits package including flexible working. Can be full-time or part-time.
Our client is a top 50 accountancy practice who provide expert solutions for entrepreneurial businesses and private individuals in Central and Southern England. A new opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join our clients Basingstoke Accounts team you should be ACCA / ACA part qualified and have at least 2 years UK practice accounts experience. This is a permanent full-time or part-time role with hybrid and flexible working options.
Accounts Semi-Senior duties:
- Building long lasting client relationships.
- Working on a variety of interesting and complex accounts assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with seniors, manager and partners when required.
- Using a variety of accounting software packages including CCH, Sage, and Xero.
- Developing and applying your technical and commercial knowledge.
- Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with Directors.
- Preparing working papers, statutory accounts and management accounts for sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations.
- Managing own workload in a timely and efficient manner while all the time ensuring we exceed client expectations.
- Supervising, training, and assisting more junior members of the team.
Accounts Semi-Senior requirements:
- ACCA / ACA part qualified.
- At least 2 years UK practice accounts experience.
- University degree with 2.1 or higher or 3 good A-Level results (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and client management skills.
- Able to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player.
- Confident, positive, professional, and can-do attitude.
- Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly.
- Create a positive impression with clients and staff.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A proactive approach, prepared to go the extra mile.
- Enjoy developing junior staff.
