Finance Business Partner – Commercial Finance (Retail)
Newly created role to support the Senior Finance Business Partner. The role holder will be a critical member of the Commercial Finance team and will partner the retail, commercial and marketing business areas with a focus on e-commerce and omni-channel performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provision of coherent, concise reporting of trading performance vs financial and non-financial KPIs across various channels, with key drivers understood.
- Supporting the business to critically analyse performance of marketing, promotional and other customer-facing activity, providing deep insight and balanced recommendations to stakeholders.
- Working with business areas to critically evaluate our ability to meet targets in the short-medium term, identifying areas of risk and/or opportunity.
- Trend analysis, financial risk/benefit modelling, sensitivity analysis and contributing to business cases for initiatives proposed.
- Supporting the Financial Reporting and Planning team with the budget and forecasting processes.
- Designing, building and owning a suite of dashboards and reporting tools within Tableau.
Skills needed:
We are looking for a self-motivated, ambitious finance professional with the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with either proven experience in a commercial role or a strong desire to pursue a career in commercial finance.
- An understanding of omni-channel retailing, particularly e-commerce and digital marketing.
- Excellent, audience-appropriate communication skills and the ability to distil complex, large data sets into digestible formats
- Efficient and confident use of tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and BI Software (Tableau or similar). Some experience of Google Analytics and market comparison tools desirable.
- A critical thinker who is curious about the business and excited to support and challenge the business to deliver against ambitious growth targets.
