Joint Transport Services (JTS) is at the forefront of operational policing support, ensuring our policing colleagues have the vehicles and equipment they need to respond to crime safely and efficiently, helping to keep our communities safe. We are seeking a dedicated Fleet Assistant to join the team at Sussex Police and provide essential local support for operational teams and departments.
Role Overview: As a Fleet Assistant, you will liaise between the JTS Workshop and Frontline Units to ensure that all vehicle repairs and maintenance are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. This role is crucial in maintaining the operational readiness of Sussex Police's fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide local support for operational teams and departments.
- Liaise between the 4 JTS Workshop and Frontline Units.
- Ensure timely and efficient vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Support operational policing by managing a wide variety of vehicles.
- Work independently while contributing to a great team environment.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience in a fleet management or vehicle maintenance role is desirable.
