I am delighted to be recruiting a Credit Control Manager for my award-winning client. The company has been established many years with their employees cited as their greatest assets.

The company operates a multi-million pounds operation serving a diverse client range over multiple industries with further growth and expansion planned, whilst continuing to support a wide range of environmental charities and community projects in the region.

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you will oversee all credit control processes for multiple businesses in the Group. A varied role including team management, implementing policies and procedures to improve cash-flow and reduce bad debts whilst maintaining positive relationships with a diverse range of clients.

About the job:

  • Manage and lead the credit control team, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Conduct credit checks on new and existing clients / determine credit limits within credit insurance policy constraints.
  • Liaise with various departments and managers, to ensure smooth credit control operations and manage escalated credit control issues and disputes.
  • Identify opportunities for process and systems improvements and implement best practices to enhance credit control efficiency.
  • Negotiate plans and settlements with clients to resolve outstanding debts.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on credit control performance to senior management and manage the departments involvement in the annual financial audit.

About you:

  • Previous credit control experience
  • Team management experience
  • In-depth understanding of credit control principles and practices.
  • Proficient in using credit control software.
