Elevation Recruitment Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with a growing practice in Sheffield, currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
About the Role: Join a dynamic team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for clients, including:
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Management of accounts payable and receivable
- Clear communication with clients via verbal and written channels, ensuring timely responses
- Additional tasks such as scanning and electronic filing as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience, ideally within an accountancy practice
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with VAT returns, reconciliations, and knowledge of VAT regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask, self-manage effectively, and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Efficient, organised, enthusiastic, and a team player
