Elevation Recruitment Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with a growing practice in Sheffield, currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

About the Role: Join a dynamic team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for clients, including:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Management of accounts payable and receivable
  • Clear communication with clients via verbal and written channels, ensuring timely responses
  • Additional tasks such as scanning and electronic filing as required

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience, ideally within an accountancy practice
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with VAT returns, reconciliations, and knowledge of VAT regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, self-manage effectively, and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Efficient, organised, enthusiastic, and a team player
