About Us:

We are working with a Charity based in London and we are seeking a proactive and experienced Charity Finance Business Partner to join their team and support our financial strategy and operations.

Job Description:

The Charity Finance Business Partner will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and support to ensure the effective management of the charity's resources. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, experience working with academics, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to drive financial performance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary financial advisor and partner to designated departments within the charity.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial strategies to achieve the charity's objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant applications, funding proposals, and donor reports.
  • Monitor and manage financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with auditors as required.

Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting qualification or Finalist level (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of charity finance regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to the charity's mission and values.
