We are on the lookout for a Marketing Category Manager with a strong background in marketing to manage procurement activities within a specific cluster. This role is crucial for aligning with global category strategies, leveraging marketing insights, and fostering collaborative business partnerships. The successful candidate will be adept at managing initiatives, driving cost optimization, and ensuring compliance and ethics in procurement processes.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Oversee procurement initiatives within the cluster for identified sub-categories, integrating marketing insights.
  • Participate in financial planning and deliver value within the scope of responsibility, with a marketing-driven approach.
  • Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives, informed by marketing intelligence.
  • Apply Category Management principles and coordinate cluster implementation plans, considering marketing dynamics.
  • Ensure business connectivity and foster collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, including marketing teams.
  • Manage Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with suppliers, aligning with cluster, category, and marketing strategies.
  • Act as a role model in compliance and ethics and represent the company's procurement and marketing interests.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement, category management, and marketing.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, delivering benefits/value, and incorporating marketing insights.
  • Ability to drive strategy implementation and manage supplier relationships effectively, with a marketing perspective.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to challenge the status quo, using marketing data to inform procurement decisions.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams, including marketing.
  • Knowledge of digital technology for sourcing events, performance reporting, and marketing analytics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise between procurement and marketing departments.
