Key Responsibilities of the Senior Legal Project Analyst
- Supporting in the delivery of legal project management, supporting the Legal Project Managers with day-to-day project management tasks.
- Support the design, development and implementation of matter budgets, together with the proactive monitoring of budgets against actual performance and lead on presenting findings to key stakeholders.
- Assist with the scoping, planning and reporting for projects.
- Co-ordinating regular legal project management calls and meetings
- Drafting pitch content for the Legal Project Managers for submission on client and panel pitches
- Responding to client requests independently and following up directly and proactively
- Leading internal meetings, demonstrating new tools and showcasing good LPM process and design.
- Research the LPM sector and share interesting articles/data.
- Leading financial reporting processes and using various tools (Excel; PowerBI; native dashboard visualisations) to analyse and report data against agreed metrics
- Deliver training and demonstrations to lawyers, PAs and other business services teams on process and technology use and adoption
- Leading on legal process design opportunities by creating process maps, supporting the delivery of managed service pilots, and creating quick guides for clients and lawyers
Skills & Attributes of the Senior Legal Project Analyst
- You will have at least 3 years work experience in a law firm or other professional services environment
- We are looking for strong technical skills:
o Numerate, and able to convert complex/raw data into concise and actionable intelligence.
o Ideally an understanding of the financial framework of a law firm such as key KPIs
o Financial Practice Management System (e.g. Elite or Aderant Expert) an advantage
o PowerBI (or PowerAutomate tools) for analysis and reporting.
- You will be confident training and have good presentation skills
- You will be able to formally or informally train / mentor more junior staff members
