Positions are from Senior to Principal, depending on experience
The Role:
So, what will you be doing as an Electrical Design Engineer ?
- Developing electrical systems ranging from lighting to small power, to distribution.
- Conducting electrical calculations, validation, and verification.
- Generating electrical schematics.
- Reviewing electrical documentation, specifications, and requirements.
- Assessing electrical changes and conducting impact assessments.
- Engaging with client's international partners and customers.
- Mentoring team members on a 1-1 basis to help with their progression and further education. (For Principal Engineer Level)
- Assessing and verifying work packages. (For Principal Engineer Level)
What are we looking for in our next Electrical Design Engineer?
Essential:
- Degree qualified within the Electrical Engineering Discipline.
- Chartered / Incorporated with the IET or working towards.
- Strong understanding of electrical design.
- Previous experience managing and mentoring a small team. (Essential for Principal Engineer Level)
- Experience within the Marine / Defence sector. (Essential for Principal Engineer Level)
- Experience with electrical software / modelling packages.
