Job Specification: Commissioning/Install Engineer (North West)
Department: Install/Projects
Reports to: Project Manager
Location: Site-Based (North West area)
Salary: £40,000 - 45.000 +
Key Purpose
Install, commission, and validate security systems, including Intruder Alarms, IP CCTV, Access Control, and Intercoms. Oversee work done by subcontractors and internal teams, primarily in the North West, with occasional support in other areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and repair Security & Fire systems.
- Conduct testing, maintenance, and repairs according to company and British standards.
- Travel between sites, ensuring high standards and accurate reporting.
- Report critical security issues to management.
- Identify and suggest improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support and mentor apprentices.
- Manage equipment and stock efficiently.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
- Attend training sessions and communicate development needs.
Essential Requirements
- 5+ years in the security sector.
- Full UK driving license.
- Strong technical knowledge of Security Systems.
- Systematic and logical approach to tasks.
- Good communication, organization, and presentation skills.
Desirable Requirements
- CSCS/ECS Card
- IPAF License
- PASMA Certification
- IP system knowledge
- Installation experience
