Our great client, nestled in north Birmingham is a prominent UK-based distribution enterprise and a key competitor of specific goods. They have consistently achieved significant growth nationwide owing a restructure, and are currently seeking a part-qualified Assistant Accountant to assume a pivotal role in financial reporting within the head office function.

The role entails interfacing with various stakeholders across warehouse and administrative functions to ensure seamless financial data flow between departments, assisting with the production of monthly management accounts by preparing accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with transactional departments to assist with the management of invoicing and reconciliation processes.

Skills needed

  • Ideal candidates will be actively pursuing ACCA or CIMA, having passed AAT.
  • Proven ability to effectively engage with diverse internal stakeholders, delivering insightful financial perspectives.
  • Demonstrated ambition and dedication to growth, both in themselves and in the workplace they are a part of.
  • Preferred experience in distribution or logistics sectors, or a solid grasp of these industries.
