Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: City Centre, Edinburgh

Contract Details: Temporary, 4-week contract - Sat and Sun - 2:30pm - 10:30pm

Pay: £12ph

Responsibilities:

Are you a problem-solver who loves a new challenge every day? Join our client's state-of-the-art Student Accommodation in the heart of Edinburgh for an exciting opportunity as a Maintenance Technician.

At our client's organisation, they take great pride in creating a positive experience for our students and ensuring they live their best life. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the general upkeep of the residence, both inside and out, including communal areas, repairs, maintenance, and minor redecoration.

Responsibilities:

  • Take pride in ensuring the community is exceptionally maintained, well-presented, and fully functional at all times.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for the students.
  • Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks in line with service level agreements.
  • Carry out first-line maintenance and assist specialist contractors when required.
  • Regularly clean communal areas to maintain a high standard of hygiene and appearance.
  • Ensure the bin stores are tidy and bins are rotated regularly.
  • Conduct periodic health and safety checks, including fire safety and risk assessments, and perform legionella testing.
  • Cooperate with your team and employer on health and safety matters.

These responsibilities are not exhaustive, but your main focus will be on maintaining and improving the overall look and feel of the property, ensuring a high standard for our residents.

To be successful in this role, you should ideally have maintenance, security, or facilities experience, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. While a relevant trade would be advantageous, it is not essential.
