Overview:
As a Global Data & Analytics Support Apprentice, you will be responsible for the day-to-day Administration and Support of the Global Data and Analytics Applications. As well as supporting other areas of the Data & Analytics Department.

Main Responsibilities: [will include but not be limited to:]

  • Resolve or escalate system support issues in line with policy and procedures.
  • Ensure all business as usual tasks and processes are delivered in accordance with our policy and procedures.
  • Provide end user feedback to help shape the training strategies for all financial system users.
  • Assist with support and training documentation for the applications (Cognos Controller, Power BI, Tableau and more).
  • Assist with the communication of updates and improvements to all financial users.
  • Assist the team in ensuring the successful transition from design and development to go live is in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Assist the team in ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Assist with report creation and developments within Power BI.
  • Assist with data collection tasks and help develop ways to automate processes.

What we are looking for:
Desirable skills:

  • Ability to work dynamically in both a team and independent environments is necessary
  • Ability to react quickly to a fast paced, rapidly changing business environment
  • Good understanding of IT terms and concepts is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of working with Microsoft
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the Business

Advanced Excel knowledge would be an advantage.

Entry Criteria: [The entry requirements for the Data Analyst (L4) Apprenticeship are:]

  • A Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A-Levels/BTEC etc)
  • OR equivalent Work Experience (typically 2 years in a Relevant Role)

PLUS:

  • 5 GCSE's, including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
  • Experience with using Excel and Microsoft Products (or similar)
  • Learners should not be entered for a Qualification of the same type, content and level of that of a qualification they already hold
