Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: Starting from £11.44 Per Hour, Depending on Experience.

Location: Pontyclun CF72.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift - 40 Hours Per Week.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to join their dynamic team.

About The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting mandrels used in the production of silicone hoses. This role requires a meticulous individual who can work both independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to precision and quality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Mandrel Production: Manufacture precision mandrels for silicone hoses to the highest standards.
  • Welding Skills: Demonstrate MIG welding expertise; TIG welding experience is a bonus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Read and interpret technical drawings, and operate manual lathes and milling machines effectively.
  • Tool Management: Ensure tools are completed on time and meet quality requirements.
  • Maintenance: Perform maintenance and repair work on the shop floor as required by the Engineering Supervisor or Shop Floor Manager.
  • Daily Checklist: Complete daily toolroom checklists and report any issues to supervisors.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Fabrication Knowledge: Experience in fabrication & Welding and working with 1:1 drawings.
  • Technical Drawing: Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings or a willingness to learn.
  • Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is required.

Desirable Skills

  • Pneumatics: Experience with pneumatic systems.
  • Electrical Systems: Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
  • CAD Modelling: Experience with 3D modelling, preferably using SolidWorks.
