Principal Sustainability Consultant

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UKs leading development consultancies who provide specialist expertise to residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. They are on the lookout for a Senior Sustainability Consultant who is looking to progress to a Principal level within their offices in Birmingham.
Role responsibilities for a Principal Sustainability Consultant include:
- Produce sustainability and energy statements for new and refurbishment projects
- Produce net zeros carbon strategies for buildings and portfolios, as well as leading on the lifecycle of built environment projects
- The role will incorporate delivering BREEAM assessments and producing WLCs using OneClick software
- Ensure clients achieve circular economy outcomes and assess materials to identify sustainable alternatives
Role requirements for a Principal Sustainability Consultant include:
- Over 5 years' experience within a sustainability consultancy role within the built environment
- BSc or MSc within a Sustainability or an Environmental Science field
- Successful history of leading and delivering on net-zero projects for clients
- Experience in developing net-zero carbon strategies and Whole Life Carbon Assessments
- BREEAM AP or New Construction qualification would be desirable
- Excellent communication skills
