Role: Exams Officer
Location: Secondary Academy, Lewisham, Southeast London
Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: Band S17-S20 (£26,243 – £28,008)
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours a week, 44 weeks a year (term time only + 5 weeks)
Aston Education is looking for a dynamic Exams Officer to join this Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary school in Lewisham, Southeast London.
As an Exams Officer, you'll support the internal and external examinations process and ensure examinations are conducted in accordance with the JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements.
This will be a varied and exciting post for a candidate with previous Exam experience in a secondary school. The role involves Cover responsibilities.
Experience and skills required:
- Experience in the role of an exams officer
- High standard of communication (verbal and written)
- Experience managing other members of staff, such as, invigilators
- Experience using a management information system (MIS), such as Arbor
- Strong data analysis skills
- Experience working with awarding bodies and regulatory organisations, e.g. JCQ
- Have passion and a belief in the potential of every pupil
