My client are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our Facilities Team on a temporary basis with a view to a permanent opportunity. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing a comprehensive facilities service and ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and students at our Isleworth/Feltham Campus. As part of the Estates team, the Caretaker will contribute to the maintenance and smooth running of the educational site.
Hours - 8am - 5pm (4pm finish on a Friday)
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintain the buildings and grounds, ensuring they are safe and well-kept.
- Conduct regular inspections and carry out minor repairs as needed.
- Respond to and resolve facility-related issues promptly.
- Work under pressure while delivering high-quality standards.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and proactivity.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other staff.
- Utilise problem-solving skills to address and rectify challenges that arise.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a caretaking or facilities role.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high-quality standards.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Availability to work 39 hours per week.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
