Communications Manager
- Day Rate: PAYE: £387.79 - £411.83, Umbrella: £475- £531

We are seeking a Communications Manager to define and implement communications strategies for priority programmes and projects that contribute directly to our mission to protect the public from terrorism. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior police officers and staff across the national Counter Terrorism Policing network, and to be part of a highly motivated communications team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop and implement communications strategies for various programmes and projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Counter Terrorism Policing network.
- Plan and deliver communications that support wider organisational and operational objectives.
- Ensure key audiences have the necessary information in a timely manner.
- Act as a positive advocate for communications, providing expertise to senior officers and staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development, including membership of the Chartered Institute for Public Relations (CIPR).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Leadership experience or potential, with the ability to plan and implement communications activity.
- Self-starter with the ability to grasp new projects quickly.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with stakeholders from various sectors.
- Good understanding of different communication channels and audience insight.
- Focus on outcomes and behaviour change, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience in content planning and production.
- Willingness to contribute to Inclusion, Diversity & Equality initiatives.
