Summary of Responsibilities
- Ensure all management accounting and monthly reporting is completed in accordance with group instruction and applicable deadlines
- Analyse monthly management accounting results and present to Senior Management, including the Finance Director
- Review and perform internal finance controls, such as balance sheet reconciliations, and permanent supervision controls as required
- Setting and reviewing of both team and personal objectives for the ALD Management Accounting team, in line with business needs
- Recruit, train, motivate, engage, manage and retain team members by line managerial responsibility for the Management Accounting team
- Support Head of Accounting & Reporting with ad hoc project work
Skills & Experience required
- Qualified Chartered (ICAEW, ICAS, CIMA) or Certified (ACCA) Accountant
- Previous people management experience
- Competent user of Microsoft Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, nested formulas, key functions including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT etc.)
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, asking for support or input from line manager and colleagues wherever required
- Experience in managing and communicating with a range of stakeholders
- Appetite to further develop technical accounting and industry knowledge
- Develops others by sharing own experience and expertise
In exchange the annual salary offered is between £40,000-£55,000 dependent on experience
