SMT Team Leader
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: From £45,000
We are seeking a highly motivated Team Leader to oversee SMT lines and machine technicians
This team plays a crucial role in assembling and delivering complex, high-value electronic products used in various industries including Aerospace, Defence, Medical Devices and Manufacturing

Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience within an Electronics Manufacturing environment, ideally within SMT
- Previous experience of leading teams, setting KPIS, targets etc within an SMT environment
- Experience of programming, setting, running and operating a range of SMT machines
- Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, industry standards and regulations.
- Experience in a high-technology environment.
- Customer-facing experience, representing the company during high-paced development.
Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of SMT operators, programmers and engineers, with contractors added on a temporary basis as and when needed
- Act as a technical lead on specific projects.
- Allocate resources and forecast resource and capability requirements for projects.
- Provide input into planning, resource forecasting, and priority setting.
T echnical Expertise:
- Lead and deliver activities and plans across the SMT lines, ensuring products are delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, and to specification.
- Supervise and support the operators in the teams
- Follow and communicate test procedures, processes, and technical documentation.
