Closing Date: 11th SeptemberLocation: Nottingham, Full-Time (Mon-Fri)Contract: Permanent Recruitment Partner: Frankie McCallister-LyasOverview: Welcome to the Boots PR team – an exciting fast-paced, award-winning team at the heart of the business, responsible for delivering impactful storytelling to enhance and protect the Boots brand.The Assistant PR Manager will play an instrumental role in the Boots PR team, developing and activating consumer PR campaigns across Boots Opticians and Boots UK healthcare. It involves sharing Boots and Boots Opticians news and stories with media and influencers and covers media relations, content creation, event management, creative writing and crisis management. As part of a busy press office, the role involves handling a mix of reactive and proactive communication, ensuring positive coverage for Boots and our brands. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and activate PR plans driving engagement and awareness among media and influencers • Build strong relationships with our agency partners, managing them to deliver strong campaigns • Create engaging and newsworthy content and assets for different audiences, from press releases, through to social posts and film edits • Support a busy press office, picking up and resolving incoming media enquiries • Evaluate and report on the communications we land, taking learnings on board to inform future planning What you'll need to have: • Previous experience in PR• Excellent verbal and written skills, with a flair for creative communications and content • Resilience and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure and to deadlines • Ability to work at pace and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously • Brilliantly organised • Enthusiastic and willing to get stuck in It would be great if you also have: • Previous experience in either a healthcare or optometry PR role Why Boots: At Boots, we foster a working environment where consideration and inclusivity help everyone to be themselves and reach their full potential.
