Finance Manager

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our client's team based in Northampton.

As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic planning.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the budgeting process, monitor performance against budgets, and provide variance analysis.
  • Cost Control: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective financial controls to optimise profitability.
  • Audit & Taxation: Coordinate internal and external audits, manage tax planning and filings, and ensure accurate tax reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management, department heads, and external partners to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Experience:

  • Ideally part qualified studying either ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams.
