Job Specification: Senior Estimator
Location: Hertfordshire Office (with travel to Stevenage, London, Hertfordshire)
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Estimator with expertise in industrial and commercial refurbishments to operate out of our Hertfordshire office. The ideal candidate will be competitive in tenders, price materials and labor accurately, and be comfortable in a client-facing role to liaise with clients and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end tender process for multiple projects simultaneously.
Develop fully priced schedules for submission, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
Conduct site visits 1-2 days a week once tenders have been won.
Price materials, labor, and other project costs.
Liaise with clients and subcontractors to gather and clarify project requirements.
Coordinate with contracts managers for sign-off on tenders.
Input subcontractor costs into scope of works documents.
Maintain familiarity with competitors in the region to ensure competitive tendering.
Manage a high volume of tenders with varying values, ensuring deadlines are met.
Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Estimator in industrial refurbishment projects, with a strong background in office fit-outs, heritage works, groundworks, and external works.
Familiarity with competitors in the region.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously.
Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools.
Willingness to travel to sites and work in the office.
