My client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Director. This role involves the day-to-day administration of funding agreements and other related duties. The successful candidate will be a key player in the finance team, demonstrating leadership, initiative, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage rebates billing and Contract Hire Recurring Profit Tracker.
- Update the Target Sheet with Accessories total and RI total.
- Handle Contract Hire Billing for various clients.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage the HP Interest spreadsheet.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Conduct SIF Reconciliations.
- Prepare for audits and assist during audit processes.
- Resolve invoice queries and issue credits as needed.
- Process funding requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director on the implementation of the new system, focusing on the funding module.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- AAT Level 2 minimum required, or QBE
- Sage 50 experience
- Min 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work to given timescales, costs, and resources.
- Experience with specialised software and spreadsheets for planning, costing, and risk analysis.
- Understanding of the automotive industry is advantageous.
