JUNIOR BUYER
The Opportunity:
This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for somebody with some experience within a purchasing or buying department, who is looking to grow and develop their procurement career. The
Junior
Buyer
will be responsible for the sourcing and supply of specific products within the
Purchasing
Team; ensuring that stock is readily available to meet a varying sales demand without the need to carry excess stock. You will be office based and there maybe the need for some travel in the future as the role grows.
Job Responsibilities:
- Undertaking purchase order placement, material expediting in line with projected sales.
- Managing stock in line with sales trends and reacting to changes in demand.
- Processing relevant administrational duties, ensuring spreadsheets, databases and Microsoft Business Central are maintained.
- Effectively manage all existing and new suppliers, identify key/strategic suppliers and build close working relationships to ensure Product is high quality, delivered on time at the right price.
- Identify and effectively on-board new suppliers.
Preferred Skills:
- Some existing experience within a purchasing or supply chain environment, combined with a desire to progress within a procurement function.
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports & conduct cost analyses.
