An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic Central Accounting Services Team. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting a large number of businesses across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will be part of a team that delivers transactional accounting, period-end close and compliance reporting services.
Key responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices and employee expenses onto the paperless automated accounts system for multiple currency databases
- Check expense claim receipts against the company expense policy and identify VAT to reclaim in accordance with HMRC guidelines
- Handle supplier queries and requests for payment
- Verify supplier bank details
- Process weekly supplier and expense payment runs
- Review CIS deductions and complete returns
Person Specification:
- AAT or similar accounting qualification will be an advantage or qualified by experience
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial data
- Team player
