Night Shift Manager - Production

The Night Shift Manager will lead the Production team in a fast-paced FMCG environment, ensuring efficiency and productivity during night operations. You will oversee all areas of the operations in the department including goods-in/despatch & planner whilst ensuring all manufacturing KPIs are achieved in line with company procedures.

Description

  • Manage and supervise the activities of production staff & additional functions
  • Oversee day to day operations within operations/goods in/despatch/planning & asset care
  • Manage & Motivate teams to ensure daily production & KPI's are achieved if not put a plan in place to improve performance utilising CI techniques
  • Promote a good health & safety culture
  • Prepare reports & present to Manager / SLT
  • Ensure all staff are compliant with production of consistently high-quality products
  • Oversee recruitment / training of new staff
  • Play an active part in driving all CI project/initiatives with teams e.g. PIP plans, OpEx
  • Support /coach and implement operational excellence with teams, SIC, daily meetings/huddles, visual boards, etc
  • Ensure staff are compliant with safety issues - follow up on non-compliant issues e.g. incident reports, non conformances & RCA's, etc
  • Carry out investigations and disciplinaries - follow company procedures
  • To develop and maintain positive relations with our internal and external customers
  • Gap analysis, skills, development and training plans, maintenance of skill matrices

Monday - Friday 22:00 - 06:00

Profile

A successful Production Shift Manager/Manager should have:

  • A strong understanding of manufacturing industry practices and procedures
  • Proven experience in managing teams in a manufacturing environment (FMCG preferred).
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work night shifts and manage a team effectively during these hours.
