Joining a Finance Team of 4, the Accountant will concentrate on 2 elements of the financial function including commercial accounting and management accounts. Role responsibilities:
Commercial:
- Maintaining Cost details of finished products and supporting sales pricing activity
- Support the business to evaluate new opportunities through clear, concise data analysis
- Analyse financial/sales data to support decision-making on a sales and cost level
- Putting together Sales forecasts
- Maintain summary of Customer contracts to ensure all important terms and conditions and revisions are reflected on to invoices / credit
Management Accounting:
- Ownership of trial balance
- Intercompany accounts reconciliation
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Preparation of month-end journals
- Balance Sheet analysis and reconciliation
- Monthly bank reconciliations including credit card collections and direct debits.
- Timely reporting for month end ensuring all receipts and allocations is up to date.
- Provide support to Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable if required
- Assisting with the yearly external audit
Candidate requirements:
- Must have strong management accounting experience
- Ideally some commercial exposure including pricing
- Qualified or nearly qualified with a few remaining papers
- Experience using Oracle Cloud accounting system is desirable
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong customer service approach
