Putting clients first should be the obvious focus of any financial planning firm.
But some focus on profits. On the search for new clients. On growth. And that puts pressure on planners to do something many are not trained or comfortable at doing - continually unearthing new business.
Not here. Here your focus is solely on looking after the clients you have. You'll inherit clients from retiring planners and your job is to keep them and service them.
There is zero expectation around new business. None.
So if you wanted to have a pure servicing role then you can. That said by being thorough and diligent you will get new business and referrals. And given your ongoing fees will cover your target then you'll get 25% bonus on everything that you do. But the choice of how much time you want to spend on growing your client book is entirely down to you.
Numbers wise you'll inherit c100 households with £140,000 - £200,000 ongoing fees attached to them. You also won't need to worry about hitting your bonus threshold - your ongoing fees will do that.
And that's because you'll start on a salary of £50,000. There's a 3 x validation to earn bonus, but by inheriting that amount of ongoing you'll be earning 25% on everything you do above that. This means that existing planners are earning bonus in year one and are seeing those earnings grow and grow each year.
As for the managerial style, well, it's in keeping with what someone with your experience should expect. The directors understand that good planners want to get on with the job at hand so they've built very capable admin and paraplanning teams. They're a Chartered, award-winning business, so ongoing CPD/training is of a very high quality. You'll importantly have their trust to crack on.
They currently have openings in the following areas:
- Cannock/Wolverhampton/Birmingham
- Nottingham/Derby
- Bristol/Bath
- Northern Home Counties up to Peterborough (with the occasional client in London)
Along with the salary/bonus scheme there's the following benefits:
- 8% non-contributory pension
- 2 x Death in Service
- PMI
- 20 days holiday plus between Christmas and New Year
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
You'll be an experienced level 4 financial planner capable of working from home. You'll be a self-starter and great with existing clients - servicing will be your forte.
You'll be thorough and diligent, able to do more with existing clients. And whilst the firm has no expectations on this front, you'll deal confidently with the referrals you'll naturally pick up.
You will also live in one of the areas described above as there will be face to face meetings alongside telephone/video appointments.
