Senior Linux Kernel Engineer

Fully home working opportunity with a Leading semi conductor firm are working on a next generation of Microchip developments and have a long term OUTSIDE IR35 contract opportunity to work with them on the next generation of technologies in this area that may be of interest.

This position provides the opportunity to work at the forefront of the technology using Scarthgap with a global business so will suit anyone with an expertise or strong knowledge in this area.

All recent Linux kernel work is relevant, the client will be interesting in hearing about recent Linux drivers you have worked on, any experience with the following is also beneficial;

  • Porting BSPs
  • Providing driver support for SOC I.P. Blocks
  • porting Yocto versions
  • Back porting driver support to CIP
  • Scarthgap/Dunfell (beneficial)
  • Yoctoproject
  • Community maintainers
  • Drivers for complex I.P.
  • Upstreaming (beneficial)

( e.g I2C, PCI, USB3)

The project is set to last 2+ years on a fully home working basis and the client is able to arrange an interview with any suitable candidates from the 12th August for a start on the 19th (this can be flexible for the right person) The work is in view of joining on a fully home working OUTSIDE IR35 basis.

The client can offer the contract following a one stage TEAMS interview.
