Here, you will play a critical part in the servicing of a varied portfolio of commercial clients from a range of industry sectors, such as Property Owners, Manufacturing and Construction. Whilst this portfolio can be tweaked to reflect your skills, experience and ambitions, it is envisioned that individual clients will range in commission and fee income between £5,000 - £10,000. Working closely with Account Executives and Directors, you will be responsible for dealing with mid-term amendments, answering day to enquiries and dealing with any associated administration. You will build a detailed knowledge of your clients' businesses, including their exposures to risks, and if gaps in cover exist, you'll work with colleagues to establish ways to mitigate these. Risks are placed both electronically, and more traditionally - so you will gain a great understanding of various carriers and their appetite for specific risks.
Ideally, you will come from a commercial insurance background (broking, underwriting or claims), but we will also entertain applications from outstanding candidates from a personal lines insurance environment, who can demonstrate an ability to quickly develop an understanding of commercial covers. You must have excellent communication skills, be able to build a professional rapport with stakeholders from all walks of life, and be comfortable negotiating to secure your clients the most comprehensive covers at competitive premiums. You must also have a natural curiosity for businesses and understand the risks they face.
This role is hybrid/ remote, and most of the team chose to be in the office 3 days per week.
