Elevation Recruitment Group - Procurement & Supply Chain division, are delighted to once again be partnered with Forged Solutions Group, with the search and selection of a Head of Supply Chain, for their Darley Dale manufacturing operation.
Job Summary:
The Head of Supply Chain, Darley Dale is responsible for leading the supply chain operations and ensuring strategic alignment with company goals. This is a senior role, sitting as part of the Site Leadership team, and plays a critical role shaping the supply chain strategy, optimising processes, and ensuring the seamless delivery of raw materials and finished products.
Key Objectives of the Role:
- Take overall responsibility for the Supply Chain and Logistics department, to ensure the team is performing at a high level
- Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and industry demands. Analyse market trends and adapt strategies to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities
- Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic partnerships with raw material suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Manage supplier performance against agreed scorecard metrics, standards and producing standardised reports for the senior managers
- Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including raw material procurement, logistics, inventory management, and compliance. Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team
- Collaborate closely with the Production, Quality, Technical, Finance and Commercial departments to forecast demand and ensure product availability
The Ideal candidate:
- Sophisticated planning and control experience at a leadership level
- Previous leadership over management is crucial
- Strategic and Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across multiple departments
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems
- A demonstrated career background within the Aerospace manufacturing sector
Remuneration & package:

- Hours Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday, 8.30am to 1.30pm
