Senior Project Support Engineer-Heathrow Airport.

This role is for a Senior Project Support Engineer to work on the Heathrow Airport Technology Delivery Partner (TDP) Project.

The role will be based at Heathrow Airport 5 days a week.

The candidate will be responsible for manging and delivering the implementation plan on various IT projects across the campus. In particular. detailed knowledge of installing cabling, physical infrastructure, and active network equipment, internally and externally.

The project is involved in large-scale construction work at the airport and adherence to relevant Health and Safety requirements is paramount.

Location: Heathrow Airport

Hours: 08.00-16.00 Monday to Friday

Pay: £400 per shift Umbrella PAYE

Length of contract: 6 months rolling

Core Activities

To Manage and deliver implementation projects including, but not limited to:

Manage H&S of site works.

Produce and maintain Project Plans

Produce RAMS for installation activities.

Produce job packs and provide detailed information for internal engineers to complete surveys/installation works.

Ensure responsibilities under CDM regulations as Principal Designer ,Principal Contractor or Contractor are discharged effectively with focus on site management and activity reporting.

Ensure all works are carried out in line with the directions / stipulations laid out with in the Construction Phase Plan (CPP)

Undertake operational inspection to ensure safe working practises are being adhered to and maintained.

Some night works may be required depending on the works location) ¡ Liaise with all required Internal and external stakeholders to effectively obtain:

Permit approvals. ? Project Requirements. ? Approvals / permissions for works to proceed. ? Reporting (both internal and external).

Contractor management of: ? Fujitsu 3rd party suppliers ? Contractors working on Fujitsu PC Sites (not directly engaged by Fujitsu).

Collaborate with Design team.

Design assurance (checking the implementation adheres to the design)

Identify and highlight both H&S and implementation risks / issues to the Project Manager in a timely manner.

Quality assurance (ensuring installation works are installed to the correct standard)

To have and to ensure continued awareness of the critical operational environment at Heathrow

Experience

Has a clear knowledge and experience of delivering IT infrastructure projects within challenging operational environments and with multiple stakeholders.

Can demonstrate knowledge of successfully managing a team.

Aviation or Rail experience preferable but not essential.

Has a working knowledge of CDM 2015.

Technical experience

Management of cabling and Physical Infrastructure installation in challenging environments. Preferably has experience working in a Principal Contractor role.

Preferably has experience of Heathrow and airport equipment, systems, processes, and installation standards or Rail experience.

Preferably has knowledge of network infrastructure.

Preferably has knowledge of MPLS solution roll outs or similar

Has a pro-active and collaborative approach to projects. Teamwork is a key success factor in the Heathrow project.

Computer literate - strong working knowledge of (MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Has the ability to work on multiple projects autonomously

SMSTS

CSCS / ECS

Preferred but not mandatory:

Project Manager Qualification (Preferred) Driving licence (preferred)
